The Coda weapons in Warframe are definitely going to add more to the growing meta in the game, so if you’re looking to find the best of the bunch, read below.
Table of contents
Best Coda weapons in Warframe, ranked
The following list will contain all Coda weapons currently out in Warframe. When or if more are added down the line, this list will be updated to reflect that. We’ll also list the best progenitor elements to have on each.
The weapons denoted with an asterisk(*) mean that they do not have a normal counterpart in the game. This is similar to weapons like the Kuva Ayanga from the Grineer or the Tenet Envoy from the Corpus.
Lastly, each weapon won’t have the prefix “Coda” on this list because it’s already implied that they have a variant of them in-game, other than a select few.

Catabolyst - Any
The grenade reload is awesome, but the amount of damage this can do with just the beam for an elemental and crit build makes other meta weapons look weak. What’s keeping the Coda Catabolyst from being broken is that it doesn’t chain.

Hema - Any
The Hema was already a decent weapon in the meta, excelling on healing builds. The elemental and overall stat boost from the Coda system just makes this way stronger, overtaking many other standard rifles in Warframe.

Mire - Any except Toxin
The Mire was an okay sword, only being carried by the innate Toxin damage. However, the Coda Mire is a direct upgrade, allowing an extra element to be added. Gone are the days of it being a stat stick; now, it rivals the power of the Pangolin Prime or the Broken War.

Dual Torxica* - Any
The Dual Coda Torxica are strong pistols that act as the older cousin of the Dual Toxocyst. Not only do they fire at a decent rate with almost no recoil, but the Cold spores that spread on death are perfect for crowd control and weakening enemies for elemental crit builds.

Hirudo - Electricity
The only reason why you’d use the Hirudo was for the crit healing ability. Now that there’s a Coda variant that’s a direct upgrade with a free element, this can destroy enemies and free up mod space for an even stronger Melee Influence build.

Pathocyst - Electricity
The Glaive Prime might just be dethroned because of this monster. The Coda Pathocyst, because of its elements and increased stats, easily outranks one of the strongest melee weapons in Warframe.

Synapse - Any
The Synapse is already a very strong crit beam weapon. Its Coda variant turns this into an elemental powerhouse with the additional elemental stacking for Condition Overload builds or Galvanized Aptitude builds.

Pox - Any
The Pox were already a decent weapon in the meta, with the Coda variant giving a pretty good stat boost all around. Ammo economy is an issue, being this weapon’s biggest weakness.

Motovore* - Electricity
There are a lot of gimmicks involving the physical elemental proc builds with the Coda Motovore. However, we’re mostly going to default to Puncture for slam builds or slash for a Melee Influence build.

Sporothrix - Any
Sniper weapons in Warframe felt a bit off in the meta, only really being useful for bossing or with Kullervo’s Collective Curse. If you want something with an explosive payload that can deal tons of damage, the Coda Sporothrix is it. It is also viable without the Volatile Variant.

Bassocyst* - Any
The Coda Bassocyst is interesting because it acts as a ranged execution weapon. Think of it like Ash’s Teleport ability. It has interesting uses for creating Arcane Trickery and Arcane Escapist builds. The firepower this thing has isn’t too shabby either.

Caustacyst - Electricity
The Caustacyst isn’t what it used to be after its nerfs years ago, but it’s still pretty decent. You aren’t building it for heavy attack these days, but the toxic puddles are nice for crowd control and status priming.

Tysis - Any
The Coda Tysis is the weakest of the bunch. It’s significantly better than its base counterpart, but even then, it’s just okay at best.
